The astronomical information available about the new crescent-moon indicates that the crescent moon for the month of Shawal is anticipated to be easily seen by naked eye on Saturday evening August 18, 2012 after sunset in many regions including: Southern Africa, Central and South Americas. Therefore Eid Al-Fitr is expected to be on Sunday August 19, 2012.
ICCF will confirm the exact date of the Eid on Saturday afternoon, and once there are reliable reports of moon sighting. The Announcement will be posted on our website www.icfresno.org
Eid Prayer Starts 7:30 am with Takbirs and Salat at 8:00 am sharp followed by pot-luck breakfast.
Zakat Al-Fitr is $15.00 per person in the household and it should be paid before Eid prayer. ICCF does collect Zakat funds and redistributes it among the eligible applicants.
May Allah accept your fasting, prayer, charity, supplications, Quran recitations and many other good deeds that you offered during the month of Ramadan.
