The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno would like to extend its best wishes to the community and Muslims as we approach the end of Ramadan. May you all conclude this holy Month with gaining God’s satisfaction and spiritual empowerment.
The astronomical information available about the new crescent-moon indicates that the new moon for the month of Shawal may be visible by naked eye on Wednesday evening August 7, 2013in south America. ICCF is in communication with Islamic Centers in South America where the crescent moon is anticipated to be seen. Once moon sighting is confirmed, ICCF will issue an announcement about the Eid. If the crescent moon is not sighted Wednesday, then Friday Aug 9 will be the Eid.
The Announcement will be posted on our website www.icfresno.org and facebook page: www.facebook.com/icfresno. Also if you would like to receive a text message, please email us your cell phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Eid Prayer Starts 7:30 am with Takbirs and Salat at 8:00 am sharp followed by pot-luck breakfast (please bring finger food).
Zakat Al-Fitr is $15.00 per person in the household and it should be paid before Eid prayer. ICCF does collect Zakat funds and redistributes it among the eligible applicants.
May Allah accept your fasting, prayer, charity, supplications, Quran recitations and many other good deeds that you offered during the month of Ramadan.
