Islam: Faith and Tradition

The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno (ICCF) will host a lecture on Islam: Faith and Tradition  by guest speaker Hamid Entezam (September 30 at 7:30 pm)

Although revelation is the primary source for religious life, Abrahamic religions also rely on ‘tradition’ as a secondary source for insight and guidance. Sometimes, local cultural practices and social customs make their way into the expanding religion, and become part of the religion’s traditions. This lecture will address the misconceptions about cultural and ethnic traditions falsely attributed to Islam.

A Farsi lecture will be also held by Mr. Entezam on Oct 1 at 7:30pm.
Both events are free and open to public.
