Due to confirmed crescent sighting reports, ICCF declares that tomorrow, Thursday June 18, is the first day of Ramadan.

Ramadan is the 9th month in the lunar calendar.  It is observed by Muslims as the holiest month of the year and they spend it in fasting, prayer, charity, and community gathering.  During the day, from approximately 2 hours before sunrise until 13 minutes after the sun sets, observant Muslims refrain from drinking, eating, and sensual activities.  During the nights, they gather with friends and community to break the fast, recite Holy Qur’an and perform other prayers and rituals.
