The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno condemns the recent attacks on churches in Nigeria. We express our deepest sympathies and sorrow. We condemn, in the strongest terms, the incidents, which are against all human and Islamic norms. This is grounded in the noble laws of Islam which forbid all forms of attacks on innocents.
Islamic center hands out more than 1,600 toys

The eyes of more than 1,600 Madera students lit up Friday when they were each handed a gift as part of a surprise toy giveaway organized by the Islamic Cultural Center in Fresno.
Members of the Islamic center passed out toys to every student at Cesar Chavez and Sierra Vista Elementary Schools.
The Islamic center’s Imam, or religious leader, Seyed Ali Ghazuini, said this is the first time the Fresnobased center has reached out to the Madera community. “We want to bring smiles to the faces of families, especially children,” he said. “In the holiday season it is something we have to do, we share our food and other gifts with others who are less fortunate. The Board of Directors of the Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno thanks all community members who submitted an application to serve on the Board of Trustees. The deadline to submit the application was Monday, October 30 and the Board met to finalize the process of approving the selection of the Board of Trustees members in a special meeting on Tuesday, November 1.
The Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday, 11/22 at 7 PM at the Center.
