The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno welcomes educators and students to learn about the faith of Islam and the Culture of Muslims through our seminars and tours.

 

ICCF Cross-Cultural Encounter-Fresno: Fostering Cultural Intelligence

In the last couple of weeks, a group of 27 counseling and ministry students have completed the required course, Cross-Cultural Encounter/Counseling.  This 1.5 unit course, which took place during seven Mondays earlier this semester, plays a key role within our seminary programs. ICCF Quran Class

The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno holds a Quran class every Thursday evening at 7:00PM.  Imam Seyed Ali Ghazvini leads the class and a community member highlights verses from the Quran and provides their interpretation.

The class is open to the public and is free of charge.  If interested, please call (559) 297-9535.

 

Domestic Violence Training

The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno offers domestic violence training to faith leaders, law enforcement and to organizations working on the prevention of domestic violence.   For more information or to schedule a training session, call ICCF  (559) 297-9535 or email info@icfresno.org

 

Breast Cancer Prevention

The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno received a generous grant from the local affiliate of The Susan G. Komen For the Cure and established the breast cancer prevention program.

Muslims Care:

Over 20 Muslim women and men participated in the annual Susan G. Komen Run for the Cure at CSU Fresno.

The Center’s team: Muslims Care reached out to Muslims from diverse ethnic and age backgrounds to share information about breast cancer.

The Center offers multi-lingual breast cancer classes. The classes are available in English, Arabic, Farsi and Urdu and are taught by Muslim female physicians and health professionals. For more information, contact Dr. Aimee Abu-Shamsieh

 

Mental Health Training

Muslim Spiritual Care Services (MSCS)

The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno is leading the fledgling Muslim Spiritual Care Services to provide spiritual care services to Muslim patients and their families at times of sickness.  MSCS fulfills the Islamic duty of Ziyarat Al-Mareed or visiting of the sick .

The services are free of charge.  Muslims can submit a prayer request online by visiting www.Muslimhealth.org or by calling (559) 297-9535.
