The Islamic Center collects funds for its emergency assistance program to benefit individuals during crisis times as part of our Islamic duty to provide social welfare and strengthen the sense of brotherhood and sisterhood among the Muslim community. We encourage community members to donate to this fund to enable the Center to provide this service.
Requests for financial assistance are examined by a special committee to establish eligibility and the nature of the assistance. Depending on the need, the Emergency Fund Committee may approve loans, gift cards, clothes or grocery coupons to be distributed to members of our community.
The committee might request to meet with the applicants, or request additional information.
All requests for emergency assistance must be submitted in writing. For more information, contact Imam Seyed Ali Ghazvini or the Center’s Director Reza Nekumanesh by calling (559) 297-9535.
